Amanda Morgan was set to be the deuteragonist of the unreleased Sonic: The Movie, as detailed in the pitch for the film. She is the teenage daughter of one of Dr. Paul Elleson's henchmen. After her father went missing, she settled in the mutants' village, hiding from Elleson's wrath, and eventually met Jimmy Hedgeman.

Amanda Morgan was the daughter of a man who served Paul Elleson. After refusing to keep working for Elleson, Amanda's father tried to escape, but was captured and fed to a mutant. Unaware of her father's fate but suspecting Elleson nonetheless, Amanda settled in a village where the evil doctor's rejected mutant creations lived.
Sonic: The Movie[]
Amanda and a group of mutants found Jimmy Hedgeman marooned on Elleson's island and forcibly took him to their village. Since Amanda didn't know Jimmy's name, she nicknamed him "Sonic" by the word written on his jacket. After examining the newcomer, the village elder Taticus declared that the villagers had no use for him, but Amanda insisted that Jimmy could prove his worth by fighting Kentar. Prior to the scheduled fight, Amanda continued to take care of "Sonic".
On the day of the fight, Paul Elleson's men invaded the village to get live food for his new mutants. Jimmy and Amanda evaded capture and mounted a rescue operation, but the guards, tipped-off by Kentar, who hoped to save his and other mutants' lives by bringing Jimmy to Elleson, repelled the attack and captured several mutants. Taticu began to mentor Jimmy on mastering his Sonic form, but was killed by Face before the training could be finished. Amanda and the remorseful Kentar thus had to train Jimmy on their own.
After Elleson was defeated, Amanda and the rest of the heroes escaped his crumbling base and awaited rescue from the mainland.
