Lucy is the main protagonist of the Elfen Lied Anime.
In the early version of it she has an different history but similar history to her final version of the Anime.
History[]
Most of her history remains about the same as her final version in the Anime until episode 11. [1]
There she as Nyu would be accompanied by Mayu than left behind when looking for Nana and would go back to Lucy when Mariko attempted to kill Kouta where their fight remained the same except she says goodbye to Kouta than saying on meeting him later unknowingly him remembering her killing his sister & father gaining an hatred for her.
She would rescue an imprisoned Yuka from capture where she freed her and left, this would give Kuta some more postive opinion on her.
The final fight with Mariko would be same except at Maple Inn due to Director Kakuzawa sending her there since he learned her attachment in there and eventually lead to it being at a cliffside. Once Kurma and Mariko seemly brown themselves up Lucy would be injured and carrying to Kouta apologizing for what she did and only reason she not killed herself to say to him where she wants to be Nyu for rest of her days. She would break her horns and jump off an cliff while singing the titular Elfen Lied song while Kouta screams seeing her falling seemly to her death.
In this version her survival is confirmed as the silhouette opens the door to reveal her alive but though it is unknown which personality she is wether it is her as Lucy, Nyu or new personality entirely as rest play out same with the clock ringing.
Trivia[]
- In this version it gives reason why Lucy choice to break out so she can apologize go Kouta and gives more context in the ending that she "Wishes to live as Nyu" that her main personality is gone and she is just Nyu unlike more vague answer. It also reveals she survived her apparent death though remains unclear if she is herself, Nyu or an third new personality entirely.
