Reo was set to be a supporting character in the video game Crash Bandicoot Worlds, which would eventually become Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. She is the daughter of Neo Cortex, who goes against her father's plans to help Crash Bandicoot out on his quest.
Biography[]
Little is known about Reo's origin, other than that she is the daughter of the notorious villain Neo Cortex. Unlike her father, she likes Crash Bandicoot, possibly even harboring romantic feelings for him, and thus tries to assist him on his quest to save the galaxy.
At the end of the game, Neo would accidentally kill Reo during the final battle, depending on whether or not Crash was fast enough to save her, branching the ending into two.
Trivia[]
- In the design document, the relationship between Neo and Reo is compared to that of Dr. Evil and Scott from Austin Powers.
- It's speculated that the concept of Reo ultimately inspired the creation of Nina Cortex, Dr. Cortex's niece and a recurring character in the series.
- Ironically, at an early point in development Nina was also meant to be Dr. Cortex's daughter.
