Biography[]
Background[]
Unlike his finalized 2002 animated movie incarnation as well as 2025 live-action remake one, Stitch is not a newly created experiment by Jumba, but rather the infamous member of an intergalactic gangster band guilty of twelve thousand counts of hooliganism and worse, attempting to enslave entire planet.

Prologue[]
At the beginning of the story, Galactic Federation managed to capture Stitch and subsequently put him into a trial; it has been decided that his punishment will be the life sentence on a maximum security asteroid. During the trial, Stitch refuses to reveal the whereabouts of his fellow gang members, going so far using a profane Tantalog phrase (Quittchie-koa!) in defiance, much to the chagrin to everyone present, Grand Councilwoman in particular.
However, during the transport, the rest of Stitch's gang ambush the armada of police ships, allowing him to escape via. an armed escape pod to join his comrades in the fray. The escape plan has been made in advance, as he hinted by his defiance upon the guards assigned to keep him secured prior. Unfortunately during the ensuing dogfight, Stitch's pod got shot by a lone police cruiser. When it seems his second capture will be certain, Stitch resorts to use its hyper drive to escape, leading to his eventual crash-landing on the forest of Kauai, Earth.
Act 1[]
The sight of Stitch's armed pod entering the planet's atmosphere catches Lilo's attention, prompting her to pray so not only Pele would punish her classmates for making fun of her, but also a true friend she desperately needs comes to her life. Back to Stitch, he emerges from the wreckage of his escape pod and, upon the panoramic sight of Kokaua Town, declares to its inhabitants that he'll destroy them all.
Act 2[]
Now that he has a new target to resume his dark reign, Stitch makes his move to the town. Crossing a darkened road which leads him there, he is abruptly run over by a convoy of heavy cane trucks. Thanks to his alien physiology honed by his criminal lifestyle, Stitch manages to survive his ordeal, though the worst it did being the loss of his prison uniform. Horrified by the prospect of them unwittingly killed what they described as an unfortunate, ugly dog, the convoy's driver promptly take him to a nearby animal shelter.
In the next morning, Stitch awakes to find himself in a pound surrounded by dogs. As he assesses his current predicament, Stitch learns that remains of his crashed escape pod had been found by locals and subsequently featured on the news program as shown in a nearby TV set. To compound the issue, he notices Jumba — a bounty hunter assigned by Galactic Federation to either capture or kill him — and his companion Pleakley — the Cultural Contamination Control from Galactic Federation — to be there while remain hidden at the crash site. As anxious as he is by the idea, Stitch has no choice but to disguise himself as a dog ready to be adopted by retracting his extra arms, spines, and antennae. Although his current disguise needs some works also (he meows instead of barks), he manages to catch Lilo's attention thus prompting her to buy him.
Contrary to Jumba's expectations when he and Pleakley finally locate the disguised Stitch, their target seems to be content with his new disguise, Of course, it's easier said than done; a vet Lilo visits in order to have Stitch examined to check his health had a hard time doing so before assuring the little girl that her new pet is in perfect shape. While subsequently participating with Lilo in having fun at the town, he likes his looks in sunglasses she bought for him while rejecting the grass hat. Stitch then performs surfing to foil his pursuers' next attempt on his life and surprisingly good at it, much to Lilo's astonishment.
While walking home, Lilo and Stitch comes across an unattended police car which the latter soon ransacks for the radio within. This alarms both Lilo and Jumba, especially with the latter realizing his target attempts to contact his gang who still at large somewhere in the outer space. The ensuing stand-off between the frantix Jumba and Stitch who holds Lilo hostage ends as quickly as it started, as the commotion draws the attention of nearby pedestrians and the police car's owners, prompting the bounty hunter and Pleakley to leave the scene. The oblivious Lilo then admonishes Stitch for the mess, unaware that Stitch manages to get what he wanted.
Unable to stand Lilo anymore (he had to take restraint from killing her), Stitch takes his chances with his pursuers outside Pelekai residence. Arming himself with homemade explosives made of two of Lilo's dolls and some toy parts, he sneaks out of Pelekai residence as soon as its inhabitants fall asleep, steals an unattended car, then drives toward a TV Tower. Reaching his destination, he wires the stolen police radio to the top of the tower to contact his gang and update him of his current situation. This relieves one of his comrades as much as dismayed Ramthar, Stitch's second-in-command who has been in charge of the group since Stitch's disappearance.
Just then, Jumba manages to knock the handset off his hand with a well-aimed blast of his plasma cannon just as his target sent the last of his messages, prompting Stitch to retaliate with his bombs to cover his escape. Although his pursuers manage to corner him in a local pie shop, Stitch manages to escape once more.
Stitch arrives in the next morning only to receive a tackle hug from Lilo who oblivious to minor burns on his body from aforementioned fight. Taking him to another walk, Lilo comes across the wrecked pie shop during which she shares her suspicion of possible mastermind that people in the area take with a grain of salt. Unknown to her, Stitch hides from the view of the store's owner.

Trivia[]
- Stitch's use of homemade explosives made of toy parts and Lilo's doll is reused in the confrontation against Jumba in the animated film proper. In this case, he uses Scrump (or at least a replica of it for such occasion) and has Lilo helping him in the endeavor rather than doing so alone.
