Victor Belmont is one of the two main playable protagonists of the cancelled 1999 Dreamcast action game Castlevania: Resurrection. The rebellious pirate and great descendant of Sonia Belmont, Victor attempted to leave his vampire hunter path as he desire to live a life fully by his own desicions.

However, with the return of the count and his lover, Victor destiny called to him as he return to his family path in order to save mankind from evil once again.

Proposed Backstory[]

A wandering gambler and soldier of fortune, Victor chose not to accept the Belmont legacy as a vampire hunter by running away from home at an early age. During his travels, Victor learned not just the art, but the science of warfare, all the while attempting to avoid his true destiny in the petty politics of 19th Century Europe. But the blood of the Belmont clan cannot be ignored forever, and Victor would eventually return to the land of his birth, a rebel and outcast.

In a certain night during the 19th Century, Victor has a quarrel with another man when gambling. Just as Victor pulls out a knife, he was mysteriously transported to the year 1666 by an unknown force.

  • Victor's actions in leaving his clan destiny would've serves as an alternate explaination to their dissapearance in the 18000s.
  • Despite there's is a playable demo, Victor route is not created yet. Though, there is an intro. [1]
  • His design and concept as the "Last Belmont" monkier is later reused for his counterpart in Lord of Shadows 2.
