Logan, born James Howlette, is a superhero known as Wolverine, as well as a scrapped protagonist in Avengers: Infinity War potentially Avengers: Endgame.
Wolverine will lead a group of mutants to defeat Thanos. With him being the only surviving member after the snap. He will be bloodthirsty to seek revenge on Thanos in the next film.
It was unsure he would be recasted or be played by the actor in Fox movie, Hugh Jackman.

Joe Russo wanted to use Wolverine followed by Disney’s successful acquire of Fox 20th century, where finally brought back X-Men and Fantastic 4. In this version, Wolverine would lead a team of mutants alongside Captain America to fight against Thanos, only to fail after Thanos collect all stones and snapped half of the population. However, likely because there are already too many characters in the film, Wolverine was removed.

- Another likely reason is due to Hugh’s retirement in 2017 follow the release of Logan, presumably forcing Joe find another person to play the character, ultimately they give up the idea.
- Hugh Jackman ultimately return as Wolverine in 2024 film Deadpool & Wolverine, portraying multiple variants of the character. Teamed up alongside Deadpool as well as Gambit.
- Having it succeeded, Avengers: Infinity War will be the first movie to have mutants. Predates Avengers: Doomsday.
